Young entrepreneurs across Africa are invited to apply for the 2025 Anzisha Prize, a prestigious program offering mentorship, resources, and prize money to help youth-led businesses grow and create jobs on the continent.
How To Compete For The Anzisha Prize
Organized by the African Leadership Academy in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, the Anzisha Prize aims to support Africa’s next generation of job-creating entrepreneurs. This year, 35 exceptional entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 22 will be selected for a multi-year fellowship that includes personalized business coaching, experiential learning, and valuable resources to help take their businesses to the next level.
High-performing businesses that demonstrate strong growth and innovation will receive additional benefits, such as access to short courses, cloud services, and cash stipends. At the end of the second year, fellows will pitch their businesses for a chance to win a share of $50,000 in prizes, awarded across four categories: job creation, revenue growth, storytelling, and systems integration.
Special Focus For 2025
The 2025 Anzisha Prize places a special focus on green entrepreneurship. “We are looking for passionate individuals who are tackling environmental challenges with innovative and sustainable business solutions,” said Didi Onwu, managing editor of the Anzisha Prize.
Applications are open until November 8, 2024.
