e& UAE has successfully completed the first phase of AI integration into its private cloud operations, marking a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Intel and Cisco, aims to optimise business operations, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation across its telecom infrastructure.
By leveraging Intel’s Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) technology and Cisco’s state-of-the-art networking solutions, e& UAE is strengthening its AI capabilities to process large datasets, improve customer support functions, and streamline cloud-based workloads. This move aligns with the company’s broader vision of becoming a fully AI-enabled organisation.
The Power Behind AI Integration
The integration of AI into e& UAE’s private cloud is set to revolutionise its computational performance. Intel’s AMX, designed for high-scale AI workloads, provides enhanced data processing capabilities, ensuring efficient machine learning and data analytics.
“Intel and e& have a long history of working on innovative technologies. The new private cloud phase is enabled with the AMX capabilities from Intel, which allow the IT workloads to use AI accelerators for each and every application. This technology is not only a game changer in the IT environment but also is an AI enabler with sustainability in mind to minimise the power consumption thus maximising sustainability and power efficiency.” said Eng. Taha Khalifa, Intel Middle East & Africa General Manager.
Cisco, on the other hand, has equipped e& UAE with cutting-edge infrastructure, including UCS X-Series M7 Blade Servers and Cisco Nexus switches, ensuring secure and scalable AI cloud deployment.
“Cisco’s advanced networking and data centre solutions help provide e& UAE with a secure and scalable infrastructure that is designed to support modern AI workloads. The ultimate goal is to help e& UAE enhance operational efficiency, adapt to evolving market conditions, and foster innovation in the telecom industry.” stated Zayan Sadek, Managing Director, Service Provider – MEA, Cisco.
