Paratus Group has officially launched Paratus Tanzania, a new venture developed in partnership with Green Telecom. This move, which comes just four months after the opening of Paratus Kenya, aims to boost connectivity across East Africa as part of the company’s ambitious sub-Saharan Africa expansion.
Martin Cox, Chief Commercial Officer of Paratus Group, described the development as a significant milestone for both the company and Tanzania’s connectivity needs. “Having secured the necessary regulatory licenses, we are excited to partner with Green Telecom to introduce Paratus Tanzania. With professional technical engineering teams deployed nationwide, we are well-positioned to offer excellent connectivity and backup solutions to rural and underserved areas,” Cox said.
The partnership is set to enhance digital access in various sectors, including tourism, which has recently seen remarkable growth. Reports indicate that tourism numbers in Tanzania rose by approximately 25% over the past year, highlighting the potential for improved connectivity to benefit this sector significantly.
Other industries set to benefit from the new venture include mining, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), the health sector, and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP). The establishment of Paratus Tanzania is also expected to create multiple employment opportunities over the next year.
Founded in 2013, Green Telecom began as a provider of technology solutions for mobile network operators (MNOs) before diversifying into connectivity and telecom network services. The company now offers tailored solutions for managing and integrating clients’ network needs.
Cox further emphasised Paratus Group’s commitment to expanding its footprint across the continent. “We can now offer customised network services for any enterprise in need of a fast, robust, and reliable connection across Africa and beyond. At Paratus, we are at the forefront of Africa’s digital revolution, transforming connectivity across the continent and enabling individuals and businesses to reach their full potential.”
The launch of Paratus Tanzania strengthens the company’s already impressive network service offering, bringing enhanced connectivity solutions to both urban and rural areas. As the partnership between Paratus and Green Telecom progresses, stakeholders across various sectors are eager to see how this new collaboration will transform the region’s digital landscape.
