The service, which is the first of its kind in Africa, is available free of charge to all Airtel customers, enhancing user safety and convenience without requiring any additional downloads.
The new feature offers real-time alerts for suspected spam SMS messages, making it accessible to both smartphone and feature phone users. This initiative is automatically activated for all Airtel customers, ensuring a seamless user experience.
According to Dinesh Balsingh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, “Enhancing customer experience is our foremost priority, and we are proud to launch Africa’s first AI-powered spam alert solution.
