Cashplus, a leading Moroccan money transfer service, has introduced a new feature that allows customers to send and receive money internationally via its mobile app, thanks to a partnership with Western Union. This integration provides users with the convenience of receiving remittances directly into their Cashplus wallet and sending funds abroad for bank deposits or cash pickups at Western Union locations worldwide.
The collaboration aims to improve financial accessibility in Morocco by offering a faster, safer, and more efficient way to handle international transactions. As digital financial solutions gain traction in the country, Cashplus is positioning itself as a key player in modernising money transfers.
According to Hazim Sebbata, CEO of Cashplus, “Our goal is to simplify access to digital financial services and meet our customers’ needs.” This partnership reflects a 20-year relationship between Cashplus and Western Union, highlighting their shared commitment to enhancing digital payment solutions in Morocco.
Morocco is one of the largest recipients of remittances in the MENA region, ranking second only to Egypt. With more Moroccans adopting digital transactions, this partnership supports the nation’s efforts toward financial inclusion by providing reliable, user-friendly mobile payment solutions.
Cashplus’ integration of Western Union’s extensive network is expected to reshape the landscape of international money transfers in Morocco. Users can now enjoy seamless, round-the-clock transactions right from their smartphones.
