NOSIBLE Lands $1M Pre-Seed Investment to Advance AI in Asset Management

SA AI Startup NOSIBLE Secures $1M to Disrupt Asset Management

South African artificial intelligence startup NOSIBLE has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate its market expansion and scale its AI-powered solutions. The funding round was led by Atlantica Ventures, with additional backing from some of the company’s existing customers.

Founded in 2020 by Stuart Reid, NOSIBLE is making strides in the AI sector with cutting-edge tools designed to enhance asset management. Its proprietary search engine API enables businesses to access real-time and historical data insights, while its consumer platform, nosible.ai, offers AI-driven automation for complex asset management tasks.

“Our discovery changes the AI equation,” said Reid, NOSIBLE’s CEO. “Our index operates at 1/100th the cost of current methods and uniquely supports real-time hyperparameter tuning, allowing it to dynamically adapt to more complex searches—similar to how OpenAI pioneered the use of test-time compute.”

Revolutionising AI Search Efficiency

NOSIBLE aims to lead the AI space with a highly optimised search technology tailored for asset managers. Its platform incorporates disk-based operations, native pre-filtering, compression, bulk querying, and real-time tuning—features that reportedly make it 100 times more cost-effective than existing large-scale search solutions.

Atlantica Ventures sees immense potential in NOSIBLE’s approach. Ik Kanu, a founding partner at the firm, highlighted the startup’s technical depth and expertise.

“We recognized a small, focused team that possesses deep knowledge in quantitative finance, machine learning, and computer science,” he said. “They are building their own infrastructure to power a low-cost, agentic platform with intelligent workflows.”

This fusion of AI and finance gives NOSIBLE an edge, allowing it to provide highly specialised solutions to asset managers at all levels. The funding will fuel its growth marketing efforts, expand its sales operations, and speed up its go-to-market strategy.
