Microsoft Launches Free 50-Day AI Skills Challenge

Microsoft has launched a 50-day AI Skills Challenge to help people around the world learn how to use artificial intelligence. The free program, which started on April 8, 2025, will run until May 28, 2025, and offers hands-on training for both individuals and businesses.

The tech giant designed this challenge to suit a wide range of participants. Whether you’re a tech expert, student, business owner, or just curious about AI, the program has something for you. Microsoft will provide several learning options including live virtual and in-person events, self-paced tutorials, coding challenges, and hands-on hackathons.

Learn AI Skills Using Tools Like GitHub Copilot and Azure AI

Participants of the free 50-Day AI Skills training will get to build real-world skills using tools like GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. These tools are becoming more important in today’s job market, and Microsoft wants to make sure more people know how to use them.

One of the biggest highlights of the campaign is a bold attempt to set a Guinness World Record. Microsoft wants to break the record for the highest number of people to take an online, multi-level AI lesson in a single day. This special event will happen on April 8, with learning activities starting as early as April 7. Anyone who joins this event will earn a digital badge to mark their participation.

Microsoft said the AI Skills Challenge is part of its mission to prepare people for the future of work. The company believes that giving people free access to practical AI education will help them succeed in an AI-driven world.

Anyone interested can browse the course catalog and sign up for the training through the Microsoft AI Skills Fest platform.
