The Federal Government has partnered with Cavista Holdings to launch Nigeria’s first open-source digital data platform for the creative, cultural, and tourism industries. This project falls under the Destination 2030 (D30) initiative, which aims to boost the country’s tourism and creative economy.

The partnership between Cavista Holdings and the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy (FMACTCE) will help gather and organize useful data that can guide decisions, attract investments, and grow Nigeria’s economy.

Government officials and project partners showcased the initiative during a recent retreat at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort in Ekiti State. The event brought together key figures, including Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa and Cavista Holdings Chairman John Olajide. Attendees viewed platform demos, assessed progress, and witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the federal ministry and the Ekiti State Government to boost tourism and cultural development.

Cavista Holdings is building the platform in partnership with VIISAUS and Big Win Philanthropy. Together, they aim to fill data gaps, improve policy planning, and create jobs in the tourism and creative sectors.

Minister Musawa called the platform a “flagship initiative” that will reposition Nigeria globally by using culture and tourism to drive growth. She said access to reliable data is key to attracting private investment and ensuring long-term progress.

John Olajide added that Nigeria’s creative and tourism industries have huge potential. With this new platform, he believes the country can unlock that potential using solid data and digital tools.
