Lebara Nigeria has officially launched its dedicated 0724 number series, setting a bold tone for its entry into the country’s crowded telecom landscape. The rollout was confirmed on Tuesday and comes with full interconnectivity to all major mobile network operators, making the new virtual operator ready to deliver services without delay.

The launch marks a key milestone for the company, which now holds a Tier 5 Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) licence — the highest authorisation granted under Nigeria’s telecom regulations. This licence enables Lebara to operate independently, yet on existing network infrastructure, with the backing of a globally recognised brand.

Speaking on the announcement, Akin Adesokan, Chief Operating Officer at Lebara Nigeria, said the company was “committed to seamless integration, customer freedom, and market inclusivity.”

All Eyes on Nigeria’s Next Telecom Disruptor

The 0724 series, now officially active, signals more than just another SIM prefix. With full interconnect integration across major carriers, Lebara Nigeria has cleared a critical hurdle — ensuring its users can call and connect across all networks right from launch day.

Adesokan explained that the firm isn’t just here to compete on pricing or perks. “Our readiness with the 0724 series and full interconnect setup underscores our unwavering commitment,” he noted.

Lebara’s strategy centres on digital-first telecom services, leveraging its global brand network and tech-driven infrastructure to offer flexible and reliable connectivity. The firm says it intends to expand digital access across Nigeria, while also contributing to innovation in the MVNO space.
