Mastercard and NAT, a global technology company and a leading Senegalese fintech startup, respectively, have joined forces to launch a groundbreaking initiative aimed at boosting financial inclusion across Africa.

The partnership leverages NAT’s innovative digital wallet service, Flash, to introduce a new virtual and physical prepaid card. This cutting-edge solution empowers individuals to make seamless transactions and manage their finances effectively. Key features of the Flash Wallet include effortless transactions, smart financial management tools like invoice splitting and budgeting, and interoperability with other digital wallets in the region.

Beyond individual consumers, the partnership also focuses on businesses. The ‘Flash in Business’ platform offers comprehensive financial solutions tailored to the diverse needs of corporations. Already this year, Mastercard Foundation collaborated with iHub to facilitate a $1.2 million investment in 36 edtech startups this year
