Senegalese cloud communication startup LAfricaMobile has taken its Series A funding to new heights, securing an additional $2.2 million. This latest boost brings the total raised to $6.8 million as the company aims to dominate AI-driven communication solutions across Francophone Africa.
Founded in 2014, LAfricaMobile empowers businesses with cutting-edge mobile communication technologies. Clients leverage its platform for large-scale campaigns using tools like SMS, USSD, voice messaging, WhatsApp, airtime, and text-to-speech. These solutions have facilitated nearly 100 million transactions, connecting over 100 enterprise clients across 20 countries.
Earlier this year, the company announced a $4.6 million Series A round led by Janngo Capital. With this new injection of funds from French public investment bank Bpifrance and private investors, LAfricaMobile is poised to expand its influence even further.
CEO Mamadou Diagne stated that the funding will fuel research and development while accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence into their services. “This investment allows us to solidify our position as a leader in Francophone Africa’s communication technology space. With AI integration, we are set to offer even more advanced solutions to our clients.”
The company also plans to widen its regional footprint, bringing its innovative tools to new markets. By combining technology and AI-driven strategies, LAfricaMobile continues to redefine how businesses connect with their audiences in a digital-first world.
