Google's and Digicloud Africa's logo

Google’s cloud ecosystem in Africa is growing rapidly, thanks to Digicloud Africa’s efforts in expanding its reseller network. Since its launch six years ago, Digicloud Africa has built a network of over 150 reseller partners, helping businesses across 46 African countries leverage Google Cloud solutions.

A Unique Approach to Reseller Enablement

Unlike traditional distributors that focus solely on selling products, Digicloud Africa plays a more active role in empowering resellers. The company helps partners build their businesses, specialise in at least one of Google’s 16 specialisation categories, and navigate the Google ecosystem effectively.

“Globally, Digicloud Africa is the longest-serving specialist Google enablement partner,” said Gregory MacLennan, CEO of Digicloud Africa. “We are Google exclusive and have built our business model and reseller network from the ground up.”

The demand for Google Cloud, AI, data analytics, and Google Workspace continues to rise across Africa, making reseller enablement a crucial part of Google’s expansion strategy.

Driving Digital Transformation Across Africa

Digicloud’s mission is ambitious—it aims to help enable a billion people in Africa digitally through Google services. With Google Cloud solutions now adopted by businesses and educational institutions, the company is well on its way to achieving this vision.

“When Google was trying to address Africa, we said we wanted to create scale,” MacLennan explained. “Through Digicloud Africa and our Google Cloud reseller network, Google is rolling out across Africa, powering meaningful business transformation.”

By growing its reseller network and supporting partners with the necessary tools and expertise, Digicloud is playing a key role in Google’s expansion strategy on the continent. The question now is how quickly businesses will adopt these solutions to drive innovation and digital transformation in Africa.
