Dubai-based startup qeen.ai has raised $10 million in seed funding to expand its AI-driven automation platform for e-commerce businesses. The funding round, led by Prosus Ventures, brings the company’s total investment to $12 million, following an earlier $2.2 million pre-seed round.

AI Agents Reshaping Online Retail

qeen.ai is developing AI-powered solutions designed to streamline e-commerce operations for small and mid-sized businesses. Its intelligent AI agents handle key tasks such as content creation, marketing automation, and customer support, allowing online merchants to scale their businesses more efficiently.

Morteza Ibrahimi, CEO and co-founder of qeen.ai, emphasised the company’s mission, stating: “Our goal is to make advanced AI accessible to every e-commerce business. We want to help them save time, reduce costs, and scale efficiently without needing large teams or expensive agencies.”

By leveraging machine learning, qeen.ai’s technology automates repetitive tasks, enabling smaller merchants to compete in the fast-growing online marketplace.

Expertise from Google and DeepMind

The startup was founded in 2023 by Ibrahimi, along with Ahmad Khwileh (CTO) and Dina Alsamhan (Chief Business Officer). The team brings extensive experience from their time at Google and DeepMind, where they worked on cutting-edge AI projects. Their expertise positions qeen.ai as a frontrunner in developing AI-driven business solutions.

Prosus Ventures, a major investor in the region, sees significant potential in qeen.ai’s technology. Robin Voogd, Head of Middle East Investments at Prosus Ventures, noted: “We believe qeen.ai’s technology will empower online merchants in ways that were previously unimaginable. This is a game-changer for the e-commerce sector.”

With the MENA e-commerce market projected to hit $50 billion by 2025, qeen.ai plans to use the fresh funding to expand its team and refine its platform. The company is also set to introduce new features tailored to the evolving needs of online retailers.
