Dyna.Ai, a fast-rising player in the global AI-as-a-Service space, has kicked off operations in Nigeria with a closed-door event titled Nigeria Dyna Day, hosted at Four Points by Sheraton in Lagos on 15 May 2025. Themed AI Unleashed: Revolutionising Nigeria’s Financial Future, the event introduced the company’s AI-powered solutions to a handpicked audience of stakeholders in finance, telecom, government and tech.
In attendance were fintech experts, policymakers and innovators all keen to see how the company’s proprietary AI tools could reshape Nigeria’s digital economy. Among the solutions unveiled were Agent Studio—designed for intelligent automation across operations like customer service, marketing and HR—and voice-based tools such as VoiceGPT, which speaks in Nigeria’s major languages to improve user interaction. Also featured was AvatarGPT, a digital AI human aimed at transforming customer experiences.

Chairman and Co-President of Dyna.Ai, Tomas Skoumal, expressed confidence in Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem. “For us, it makes sense to start in Nigeria. There is no bigger country in Africa—this is where the momentum is,” he said. He added that Africa was no longer a region waiting to rise but one already undergoing digital transformation. “We’re not just here to sell a product—we’re here to build infrastructure, create local jobs, and scale innovation from Nigeria to the rest of Africa,” Skoumal declared.
Government Officials Back Responsible Innovation
Speaking at the event, Tokoni Peter Igoin, Special Assistant to the President on ICT Development and Digital Innovation, reinforced the Federal Government’s commitment to digital growth. “Our approach to AI and financial technology is rooted in a positive framework. It encourages creativity while ensuring transparency, data protection, and digital security,” he said, noting that the government sees responsible innovation as central to Nigeria’s digital evolution.

Adding to the discussion, Lagos State’s Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Olatunbosun Alake, announced that the state would soon release Nigeria’s first AI deployment guidelines. He clarified that these were not binding policies, but frameworks intended to inspire ethical development. “They are just guidelines to make sure that you and I are building the kinds of products that, in the future, we will be proud to let our children use and not try to protect them from,” he noted.
Alake warned against unregulated AI, calling it “reputationally radioactive” and urged for tech aligned with public good. He reaffirmed Lagos State’s role as a hub for ethical AI development and said the government would continue fostering innovation built on trust.
The day wrapped up with panel discussions, live demos, and exclusive breakout sessions where Dyna.Ai experts engaged directly with Nigeria’s tech leaders. From AI-powered customer experiences to digital-first financial solutions, the company’s launch signalled a new era for the region’s fintech landscape.
