The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates. The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, and students who sat for the exam can now access their results online or through SMS.

According to WAEC, candidates are expected to visit the official result portal to view their scores. To check results, students will need a few credentials: their WAEC Examination Number, the Result Checker PIN, and the Serial Number printed on their Smart Identity Card used during the exam.

If these details are missing or the result checker PIN has been exhausted, candidates can retrieve or purchase a new one through WAEC’s Request Management System, where the e-PIN is available for ₦4,250.

Every applicant has already received their serial number and PIN for the result checker from WAEC,” the Council noted.

How to Check Your 2025 WAEC Result

To check results online, candidates should visit www.waecdirect.org and fill in their 10-digit examination number (which combines the 7-digit centre number and 3-digit candidate number), the year of examination (2025), the exam type (School Candidate), and the e-PIN and PIN number. Once submitted, results will be displayed instantly.

WAEC also allows candidates to check results via SMS, but this service is limited to MTN, Glo, and Airtel users. To use this method, send a message in the format: WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear to 32327.

Note that standard SMS charges apply, and the statement of result will be sent to your phone.

If you’ve misplaced your result checker PIN, WAEC advises logging onto the Request Management portal to generate a new one. Just follow the prompts under ‘Request for Service’ and select ‘Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker’ to proceed with payment and receive a fresh e-PIN.

Visit WAEC’s official Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page in case you have any issues during the checking process.
