Chowdeck, an on-demand food delivery platform based in Lagos, reached a milestone of over one million orders processed for food and other essentials in Nigeria last October 2025.
The announcement came through a post on X by the chief executive officer and co-founder of the company, Femi Aluko, who described the feat as a defining moment for the brand. “I am super pumped to share that last month, @chowdeck hit over 1 million orders in Nigeria in a single month,” Aluko wrote.
He said the daily order volume of the company has grown from an average of about 30,000 to more than 40,000 per day on the back of an increasing appetite by Nigerians for fast and convenient delivery. “Our daily order volumes in Nigeria have grown from an average of ~30K daily orders a few weeks ago to over 40K daily orders presently and still increasing day on day,” he added.
A New Benchmark for Africa’s Delivery Industry
Chowdeck claims it is the first African on-demand delivery platform to reach the one million monthly order mark, in what can be considered a milestone for the growing quick-commerce landscape across the continent. The company currently serves about 1.5 million users and operates with more than 20,000 riders across Nigeria and Ghana.
This surge on the platform comes after a Series A funding round of $9 million in August 2025 to scale up its operations and drive efficiency in delivery across West Africa. The investment, according to the company, was important in scaling infrastructure and improving customer experience in major cities in Nigeria.
