The 14th Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) has once again celebrated African ingenuity, awarding five startups for their groundbreaking solutions. This annual competition highlights innovative projects that positively impact society in Africa and the Middle East.
Since its inception in 2011, the OSVP has championed entrepreneurial growth and inclusive development across the regions where Orange operates. The latest winners were selected from a staggering 1,600 applicants spanning 17 countries, with the awards announced during a prestigious ceremony in Morocco.
Celebrating Innovation and Impact
The International Grand Prize, the competition’s top honour, recognises tech-driven projects addressing social or environmental challenges. Moroccan logistics startup SAVEY emerged as the 2024 winner, earning €25,000 (US$27,000) for its innovative platform. Second place went to Tunisia’s WeFix, an electronics repair solution, which secured €15,000 (US$16,000). Cocoa Shield, an AI-powered agricultural tool from Ivory Coast, claimed third place and €10,000 (US$11,000).

Morocco continued to dominate with MyTindy, an e-commerce platform connecting artisans to global buyers, clinching the €20,000 (US$21,000) International Women’s Prize. Meanwhile, Egypt’s Intella, an AI startup with a unique approach, won the Coup de Cœur prize, taking home €10,000 (US$11,000).
