MTN Uganda’s CEO, Sylvia Mulinge, has been named CEO of the Year across all 20 markets where MTN operates. The prestigious recognition was announced at the MTN Global Leadership Gathering (GLG) gala dinner in Johannesburg, celebrating her exceptional leadership and contribution to the company’s success.

Mulinge’s leadership has positioned MTN Uganda as a strong performer within the group, driving innovation and operational excellence. Her recognition underscores her influence in shaping the company’s growth and strategic direction in Uganda’s competitive telecom sector.

Beyond Mulinge’s individual achievement, MTN Uganda also took home several major awards. The company received the Group President and CEO Award for Y’ello Care, acknowledging the success of its 2024 employee volunteer initiative. Another significant win was the Million Dollar Award for Best OpCo of the Year, cementing its position as one of MTN’s top-performing subsidiaries. Additionally, the company was honoured with the Value-Based Capital Allocation Award for its strategic investment decisions that have strengthened its market presence.
