Running a restaurant in Nigeria’s bustling food delivery market has its perks—especially with platforms like Chowdeck bringing in new customers daily. But for many owners, the stress of juggling orders and stock levels has become a full-time job. Now, that struggle may finally be over.
Lumi Business, a fast-rising SME management platform in Nigeria, has announced a new integration with Chowdeck. This partnership is designed to eliminate restaurant owners’ chaos by allowing them to track online and offline sales, inventory, and order flows in one place. It means fewer headaches and faster, clearer service for everyone involved.
A Step Towards Smart Kitchens
Previously, online marketplaces like Chowdeck offered little help when it came to inventory. Orders had to be manually logged by staff, often leading to missing items, delayed meals, or duplicate sales.
But with Lumi’s upgrade, restaurant teams can now process Chowdeck orders in real-time, straight from the Lumi dashboard.
“Whether a sale happens online, in-store, or through Chowdeck, restaurants can now manage everything in one place—with clarity and confidence,” said Lanwo Ayotunde Raphael, Head of Products at Lumi Business.
No more bouncing between apps. Once an order is confirmed, stock levels update instantly. The kitchen receives immediate instructions through Lumi’s built-in Kitchen Display System (KDS), and customers are notified at each stage of the process. It’s a cleaner, smarter way to run things—and it could save restaurant teams hours of stress every week
One Platform, Many Channels
Lumi isn’t stopping with Chowdeck. This move is part of its larger goal to simplify commerce for African SMEs. Alongside inventory and order syncing, the platform offers tools for point-of-sale transactions, expense tracking, loyalty programmes, and sales analytics.
It also supports payments through card, transfer, and digital wallets, giving business owners the freedom to operate however their customers prefer. With upcoming integrations planned for other major delivery platforms like Glovo, Lumi aims to be the backbone of modern retail in Africa.
“We’re not just solving today’s pain points,” Lanwo added. “We’re creating the foundation African businesses need to scale intelligently, efficiently, and fearlessly.”
