In a bid to fuel the growth of Africa’s digital workforce, Flutterwave has launched a virtual training initiative called the Accelerate Workshop. The two-day programme, held online, is aimed at giving young Africans hands-on coaching in vital areas of the tech industry.
This fresh effort from the payments giant targets students, recent graduates, and professionals at the beginning of their careers. Participants will explore in-demand fields such as cybersecurity, design, marketing, and product management. With leading tech minds from Flutterwave and beyond leading the sessions, the initiative promises to be more than just theory.
Skills for a New Tech Generation
Key speakers include Mira’s CEO and former Flutterwave VP Ted Oladele, along with top professionals like Abisola Epoyun, Nujinim Egwegbete-Odukwu, and Oluwatobiloba Animashaun. By drawing on their experience, the programme offers practical knowledge to those looking to thrive in the fast-moving digital space.
According to Flutterwave’s AVP of Branding and Storytelling, Yewande Akomolafe-Kalu, “We’re giving them the tools, access, and confidence to step boldly into the digital economy.” She added that the workshop isn’t just a training ground — it’s a launchpad for Africa’s future leaders in tech.
