In a game-changing partnership, Nigeria is working alongside Morocco’s National Automotive Design and Development Council, E-move Vehicles, and Univers Acier to boost its electric vehicle (EV) industry. This collaboration, unveiled during the Nigeria-Morocco business forum, includes local manufacturing of EV components and infrastructure.

Through E-move’s experience in battery and electric vehicle production and Univers Acier’s steel expertise, the initiative is expected to promote home-grown production of EVs in Nigeria, with plans for exports to Morocco. This collaboration is not just about vehicles but about creating jobs, fostering economic growth, and reducing dependency on imported vehicles.

With Africa’s EV market poised for an 8.85% growth by 2029, Nigeria’s investment positions it as a formidable player in the industry, expanding the nation’s reach in sustainable transportation.
