Senator Solomon Olamilekan, popularly known as Yayi, has partnered with New Horizons Nigeria to train 1,000 young people in digital skills. This training program will benefit youths from the Ogun West Senatorial District and aims to prepare them for careers in the tech industry.
The program will focus on hands-on training in key areas such as fintech, software development, and data management. These are skills that employers in the digital economy need right now.
Senator Yayi said the partnership with New Horizons will help young people in his district get ready for the future. “This training gives our youths access to world-class tech education and opens the door to better job opportunities,” he said.
New Horizons, a global IT training company, has promised to deliver high-quality instruction that matches what the tech industry wants. The training will also provide tools that participants can use even after the program ends. This support will help them stay up to date and competitive in today’s fast-changing tech world.
Senator Yayi’s office said the project is part of a larger plan to reduce youth unemployment and close the digital skills gap in Ogun State. Many young people are struggling to find jobs, and this program offers them a chance to learn new skills and improve their future.
By the end of the program, Ogun youths will be better prepared to take on tech jobs both locally and globally, boosting the region’s growth and digital transformation.
