MTN Group Fintech, a leading provider of mobile financial services in Africa, has joined forces with Network International, a major player in digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa. The collaboration, announced on Tuesday, aims to enhance payment processing services, strengthening MTN Fintech’s mobile financial offerings across the continent.

Expanding Network International’s Presence in Africa

With this partnership, Network International continues to grow its footprint in Africa, solidifying its role as a key issuer processing partner for financial institutions and mobile service providers. The company, which operates in over 50 countries and serves more than 250 financial institutions, will leverage its expertise to boost MTN Fintech’s digital services.

Network International will support MTN Fintech in launching card issuing solutions, starting with Rwanda. The initiative is expected to extend to other key markets, including Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Uganda, shortly. The services provided will include card management, transaction processing, and advanced fraud prevention measures.

Enhancing Digital Payment Solutions

The partnership is set to improve user experience by integrating both traditional mobile money services and modern digital payment solutions. MTN Fintech customers will gain access to seamless financial services, enabling greater participation in digital transactions.

It enables our customers to actively engage in the global economy, aligning perfectly with our strategic goals alongside Mastercard to broaden access to digital financial services across the continent.”

A Step Towards Greater Financial Inclusion

MTN Group currently serves over 288 million users across 14 African markets, offering services in telecom, data, fintech, enterprise wholesale, and APIs. By integrating Network International’s payment processing capabilities, MTN Fintech aims to accelerate digital financial adoption and drive economic empowerment across the continent.
