Five years after being acquired by CcHub, iHub has relocated to an impressive two-storey headquarters in Nairobi’s upscale Lavington area. This new base symbolises the accelerator’s rising prominence in Africa’s technology ecosystem and its commitment to nurturing innovation across the continent.
The state-of-the-art facility boasts a range of features designed to support startups and creative professionals. These include a dedicated entertainment and media hub for film, television, and social media projects, alongside co-working spaces, private call booths, conference rooms, and venture capital offices hosting firms such as TLcom and Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures.

Scaling Operations for Greater Impact
Speaking about the move, Ojoma Ochai, Managing Director of CcHub and head of iHub operations, stated:“We have gone through different stages of growth. Moving here means we are scaling up our work and restating our commitment to Kenya. This move is part of our strategic focus and reflects our growth phase.”
The expansion comes during a period of intense activity for iHub. In collaboration with Safaricom and Spark Accelerator, the organisation has supported startups like Chaptr and Chumz, a Kenyan fintech that recently expanded to Rwanda. Additionally, a partnership with the Mastercard Foundation facilitated a $1.2 million investment in 36 edtech startups this year.
A Pan-African Vision
iHub’s influence extends beyond Kenya, with active operations in Nigeria, Rwanda, and Namibia. This pan-African presence enables the organisation to provide crucial support for startups across the continent, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Through its syndicate funding model, iHub connects its portfolio companies with various funding options, including loans, grants, and convertible notes. These investments range from $20,000 to $250,000, spanning seed to Series A stages.
While cementing its Kenyan presence, CcHub is also broadening its reach with new initiatives. One of these is the upcoming Janta TechHub in Togo, a joint venture with the Togolese government.“It will be a CcHub-managed hub – the hub belongs to the government of Togo, but we are going to set it up and run it for them,” Ochai explained.
