Moroccan super app YORA Technologies has successfully raised $1.9 million in a pre-Series A funding round. The investment, led by local firms Witamax and Azur Innovation Fund, boosts the company’s total capital raised since its launch in 2023 to $4.4 million.

Founded by Omar Alami, YORA Technologies offers an all-in-one platform that integrates services ranging from peer-to-peer transactions to e-commerce, on-demand services, chat features, and social networking. Its mission? To advance digital and financial inclusion in Morocco by making modern digital solutions accessible and user-friendly.

The newly acquired funds will focus on scaling Kooul, YORA’s rapidly growing food delivery service that has expanded to six cities within just five months. Additionally, the investment will accelerate the development of ORA Cash, a digital payment and money transfer system that allows users to set up an IBAN account within 40 seconds using just their phone number.

According to Alami, YORA Technologies is committed to supporting the Moroccan government’s broader push for financial inclusion and a cashless economy. The company’s integrated approach positions it as a critical player in Morocco’s digital transformation. “Our goal is to empower more Moroccans to embrace digital financial solutions that are accessible and convenient,” Alami stated.

The investment also highlights growing local investor confidence in YORA Technologies’ potential to revolutionise Morocco’s digital space. The super app’s continued expansion could play a significant role in enhancing financial empowerment and setting new standards for the region’s gig economy.

With its innovative services and ambitious plans, YORA Technologies is well-positioned to push Morocco’s digital agenda forward.
